Integral Operation of IT Services
emas IT provides an integrated environment for the operation of IT service areas. It provides availability, capacity and security monitoring capabilities supported by an intelligence layer in which simple and complex correlation techniques are applied. The ultimate objective being that of achieving greater effectiveness and efficiency of the service center, by reducing the volume of events to be dealt with by the technical team and enriching its content. The information generated by the monitoring and correlation layers of events serves as a basis to feed the service layer, by introducing the concept of a single management console, where in a homogeneous and strictly defined way, based on standards such as ISO 27001 or ISO 20000, a complete management of the service is performed, considering aspects such as quality of service management, configuration management or knowledge management, and other processes supported by ITIL best practices.
emas IT architecture
argos is the IT element monitoring module within the emas IT architecture. Its mission is to monitor the IT environment and, to this end, has a dual function, on the one hand it provides a complete package of monitoring tools for the availability, capability and security of the technology platform equipment (monitoring systems of availability, capability, bandwidth and environmental sensors, intrusion detection systems (IDS), automatic vulnerability analysis systems, information integrity control systems (HIDS), etc.). On the other hand, it offers network asset discovery and inventory capabilities, which allow people to populate the CMDB of the solution. It provides mechanisms for the integration of monitoring tools that the organization might already have deployed.
tritón is the IT emas intelligence module that, through the use of complex event correlation techniques, serves as the basis for the development and parameterization of specialized event correlators for its application in different domains of detection and protection. triton is distributed equipped with a powerful set of pre-designed correlation rules that are tuned and extended to suit the particularities of the environment and that the user can modify and extend in an accessible language (DSL). The intelligence provided by triton, not only facilitates the detection of complex situations but also allows partial automation of the remediation process, launching action orders to the environment, if necessary (restart of services, etc.).
emas is the Management module of the emas IT Service. As the core of the solution, it is the single event and alarm management console that includes all incidents or alerts generated by the monitoring system, requests and incidents manually registered by the Service Desk, those generated by users from the self-service portal or by agents who monitor e-mail accounts, for example.
It is supported by an asset database (CMDB) that collects the IT assets of the organization and a definition of the services catalog. It provides support to ensure a procedural and homogeneous response, monitoring the Service Level Agreements (SLA) frameworks and relying on a database of knowledge that is fed back with the experience gained in the handling of incidents and requests.
hera is the emas IT Dashboarding module. It analyzes information in real time to compose a dashboard in real time with the key indicators of the operation of the service center. Based on hera, the platform offers different visions of the evolution of the service provided. On the one hand, it offers the service center the internal vision, both in real time and historically, of the key indicators of availability, activity, quality of service and security. On the other, it is able to export to its clients a personalized control panel that allows them to follow the evolution of the service provided in real time. It allows its extension with custom indicators and the composition of pages of personal KPIs.
