Enigma: S2 University
Is a training program S2 Group has launched on cybersecurity and intelligence to “capture talent” from universities, train them and afterwards offer them the possibility of joining our staff as employees.
For each edition of the program a selection is made of last year students or recent graduates with degrees in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, and Industrial Engineering, who are given a grant with a financial endowment in addition to the training plan.
Students receive classroom lessons taught by employees with the most experience at S2 Grupo, and have a training room and laboratory with all the adequate material in order to study, do the homework the teachers assign them and stimulate their creativity with group activities proposed.
In addition, they have the help of the teachers at their disposal and a tutor who personally follows up on every single student.
The syllabus covers all the aspects the students need to know about cybersecurity and intelligence so they can join, after the training, S2 Grupo as junior engineers. Unfortunately these aspects are not sufficiently covered during the university studies. We find that engineers recently graduated land their first job with us greatly lacking a knowledge of cybersecurity because they did not study it at university, and ENIGMA plans not only to fill that void, but teach them how we work in S2 Grupo, motivate them, encourage team work, and teach them the culture of the company.
The program lasts six months and is a total and absolute investment in young people who we will want to hire in the future.
In addition to their daily activities recommended by the teachers in compliance with the classes they are having every week, the students must carry out a research project over these six months which they must present at the end of the training, in most cases this project will be the Final Thesis for them, with which they will finish their university education. The research topic is either chosen by them or with the help of their teachers.
Every student has several tutors assigned to him who will monitor this research project and help in its evolution.
The training program Department has a transverse view of both, the work the students do, and the working groups formed for the research projects, making it possible to advice the student in more personal way according to their interests, strengths and areas to improve.
