microCLAUDIA: the ransomware vaccine

microCLAUDIA applies digital vaccines that deceive malware into believing the system is already infected, stopping the attack before it starts. Lightweight, easy to deploy, and compatible with your antivirus and EDR solutions, it adds the extra layer your network needs to stay secure without complications.

What is a Ransomware Vaccine?

Vaccines consist of indicators and decoy artifacts (registry entries, files, and system structures) that replicate the traces malware uses to identify a previously compromised system.

By detecting these indicators, ransomware aborts its execution before deploying its payload, thus preventing data encryption, exfiltration, or the installation of secondary malware.

This approach:

  • Prevents in the pre-execution phase, reducing the attack surface before malicious code is activated.
  • Mitigates operational risk by preventing the disruption of critical services.
  • Complements layered defense, integrating with EDR/antivirus and backup solutions for a more robust security strategy.

How does microClaudia operate?

microCLAUDIA installs a lightweight agent on Windows devices (computers, servers, or VMs) that connects to the central vaccination service managed by CCN-CERT.

This service generates and distributes digital vaccines that are applied automatically and silently, protecting against the most dangerous ransomware families.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it replace my antivirus or EDR?
No. microCLAUDIA complements other tools, adding a preventive layer that acts before malware execution.
What exactly is an anti-ransomware “vaccine”?
It is a set of false signals that make ransomware believe the system is already infected, thus preventing it from running.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Once downloaded, the vaccines protect even in offline mode.
Does it consume a lot of resources?
No. The agent is very lightweight and does not affect system performance.
Is it available for all operating systems?
Currently, microCLAUDIA is available for Windows (from XP to the latest Windows Server versions).
How long does deployment across the organization take?
It can be deployed massively within hours using corporate tools such as GPO or SCCM.
What is the license price?
The cost depends on the number of devices to be protected. Contact us to request a demo and a proposal tailored to your organization.
