Ibiza, September 27, 2018.- S2 Grupo, a Valencian company specializing in cybersecurity and cyber-intelligence, took part today in the "Intelligence and Emergencies" technical conferences organized by the Spanish Fire Fighting Association (ASELF) on the 26th, 27th and 28th in Ibiza. These days, whose Honorary President is H.M. King Felipe VI, have had the participation of prestigious representatives in the field of civil and military protection of Spain. At this meeting, Rafael Rosell, commercial director of S2 Grupo, gave a presentation on the development of industrial cybersecurity at present, in which he presented the company’s latest projects focused on two fundamental aspects: the protection and security of citizens and water and energy supplies, among others. In this regard, he explained his collaboration with Global Omnium, a leading Spanish company in the management of the integral water cycle, for the creation of a center aimed at protecting essential services and cyber-protecting the water supply to more than 7 million people it serves. Both companies have collaborated to develop a pioneering cybersecurity center specialized in the water sector to cover their specific needs in order to guarantee their systems, their operation and business continuity. In this way, defensive services have been incorporated for all of Global Omnium’s technological infrastructure, including prevention, detection and response services to avoid possible cybersecurity incidents that could affect the water supply they offer their customers. "The basis of the system lies in the identification of those situations that may pose a risk to the control infrastructure and in its rapid detection, based on precise knowledge of the way in which these types of systems are exploited", assured the commercial director of S2 Grupo. Together with S2 Grupo, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, such as the General of Division and General Commander of the Marine Infantry, Antonio Planells; Brigadier General Antonio Martínez; the Chief Inspector of the Provincial Fire Department of Valencia, José Miguel Basset participated in these conferences.
