December 12, 2018.-The Valencian company S2 Grupo is participating today December 12 and tomorrow day 13, in the XII Conferences of the CCN-CERT (National Cryptological Center, entity belonging to the National Intelligence Center) held in Madrid (Kinépolis - Ciudad de la Imagen) under the title "Cybersecurity, towards an effective response and deterrence". These conferences were chaired this morning by His Majesty King Philip VI and brought together the main representatives of cybersecurity in our country. With more than 2,500 people registered, it has become the main meeting of the cybersecurity sector. The XII CCN-CERT Conferences are supported by 43 of the main companies and associations of the sector, among which S2 Grupo is the most prominent, and has renowned speakers who are addressing the latest trends in threats, attacks, technological challenges and prevention in cybersecurity. S2 Grupo, which has been collaborating with the CCN for years, this time as a VIP strategic sponsor and participates in the meeting with different actions such as the development of presentations and private meetings with the main experts in the sector to assess the present and future of cybersecurity. Meeting of the Club Alan Turing at the XX Conference CCN-CERT During the two days of the conference, S2 Grupo will hold a meeting of the Alan Turing Club, where the leading cybersecurity leaders are gathering to analyze the main challenges of the sector in 2019. This Club was launched in 2017 by S2 Grupo and has become the first private forum that periodically gathers the main agents responsible for cybersecurity of the main private and public organizations of our country with the aim of sharing the situation of the sector and establishing strategic lines to improve the cyberprotection of any type of entity. The Alan Turing Club owes its name to the one who is considered the father of modern computing and who managed to decipher in World War II "Enigma" (German machine of message coding), facilitating the British victory against the Germans. "The aim of this initiative is to bring together those responsible for the management of cyber-incidents in order to create a knowledge and practice that allows for continuous improvements in the cybersecurity area and to avoid the action of criminals as well as the possible consequences of their acts such as the theft of information, the search for geopolitical and economic benefits, etc.", explained José Rosell, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. "Anticipating the action of cybercriminals is key to ensuring the cyberprotection of any company or public or private entity. To achieve this, it is essential to share knowledge, exchange information and opinions and that is the purpose of the Alan Turing Club, unique in the world ", explained Miguel A. Juan, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. On this occasion, the company set up a special room to hold these meetings, which will be confidential, which was set in the 40s, recalling the time when Alan Turing developed the Enigma machine that managed to decode the secret plans of the Nazis. Presentations: Cybersecurity in the health sector One of the main issues being addressed by the company's experts is the growing number in cyber risks in the health sector and how the digital transformation of this sector has made it the main target of cybercriminals. "The health sector is converging by leaps and bounds in the use of Internet and connected technology as a means of significantly improving services and extending the lives of human beings. The digital transformation in this area is a fact. However, as in any other technology-intensive sector, the risks are increasing. Risks for privacy and data, risks for business and, above all, risks for people", explained José Rosell, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. "At S2 Grupo, thanks to our previous experience in the industrial field where all that was already experienced, has set in motion the creation of an expert team in cybersecurity in the health sector, led by a Dr. in Medicine and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery who is also an expert in cybersecurity. We have also designed and implemented a complex laboratory that represents a hospital process such as an ICU, with the aim of defining attack and defense patterns and making our teams learn and, on the other hand, an educational purpose", stressed Miguel A. Juan, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. The presentations will be given this afternoon by Ernesto Sanz, technical manager of cybersecurity in the health sector at S2 Grupo, and Pascual Armand, deputy director of industrial cybersecurity at S2 Grupo, who will analyze the risks of cybersecurity in hospital critical care units. Along with this, Antonio Villalon, security director of S2 Grupo, participated in the XII CCN-CERT Conferences, analyzing the current situation of the Russian military intelligence service, one of the most opaque in the world, in order to delve deeper into the conjectures surrounding its service, structure and capabilities. On the other hand, Antonio Sanz, security consultant of S2 Grupo, offered a workshop in which he analyzed the keys to malwarefileless incidents. This was designed to be especially light and difficult to detect and has become one of the main challenges to combat for those responsible for cybersecurity. More information: prensa@s2grupo.es
