Valencia, February 3, 2020.- S2 Grupo, a Valencian company specialized in cybersecurity and critical systems management, increased its turnover by 20% in 2019. The turnover was 18.2 million euros, compared to 15.5 million euros in 2018.
“The growth we have experienced in the last year reinforces the leadership of S2 Grupo in cybersecurity in Spain. 2019 was a year in which we consolidated our position in the markets where we are present, both nationally and internationally. One of our goals for 2020 will be to reinforce our presence in LATAM by entering Chile and strengthening our presence in Colombia and Mexico”, said José Rosell, managing partner of S2 Grupo.
International turnover accounted for 19% of the total business volume and, together with this, S2 Grupo Colombia grew considerably, bringing the company’s consolidated turnover to over 19 million euros.
In relation to its team, 2019 closed with a stable workforce of 356 people, 68 positions more than in 2018.

Another fundamental axis of S2 Grupo is its activity in R&D+i. In 2019 around 12% of its income was allocated to projects developed at a European level together with different public and private organizations in Spain and other European countries to develop cutting-edge solutions to improve cybersecurity and the processes associated with it.

Some of the company’s milestones in 2019 was advising the European Cybersecurity Agency to protect the European health system, collaborating in cybersecurity with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg or the marketing and developing of the CCN PILAR tool to increase national cybersecurity in all sectors, among others.
In addition to these, one of the most advanced cyber-security centers in the world opened in Valencia, a new corporate headquarters with 1,200 m2 and capacity for 150 people, whose function is to centralize the Corporate Management, the R&D+i Development Center and a new industrial cybersecurity laboratory. In this way, its previous facilities in this city have been converted into one of the safest, most advanced and complete Cybersecurity Operations Centers (CERT, computer emergency readiness team) in the world with a capacity of 2,500 m2.
