S2 Grupo increases its turnover by more than 30% in 2018

• The Valencian company specializing in cybersecurity has become a reference in its sector at national and European level and has closed the last year with a turnover of 15.5 million euros, fulfilling the forecasts of its strategic plan
• In the last year the international development of S2 Grupo has been very important and currently represents 20% of its business
• One of the most important milestones for the company in 2018 was the contribution of 3.5 million euros from Sepi Desarrollo to boost its expansion, a fact that shows the national commitment to have a strong sector of cybersecurity

 Valencia, 12 February 2019.- S2 Grupo, a Valencian company specialized in cybersecurity and critical systems management, closed 2018 with a turnover of 15.5 million euros. This means a growth of more than 30% compared to 2017, when sales reached 11.7 million euros. In terms of staff, 50 net jobs have been created in the last year and it currently has a team of 288 people. "We are very satisfied with the results obtained in 2018 because they have met the objectives we set in our strategic plan 2018-2022. We continue working to fulfill our main objective, which is to position ourselves as one of the leading global cybersecurity companies in the next four years", said José Rosell, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. Another of the fundamental pillars of S2 Grupo is its R+D+i activity, in 2018 around 10% of its income corresponds to this area in which it develops projects at European level together with different public and private organizations in Spain and other European countries to develop avant-garde solutions to improve cybersecurity and the processes associated with it. S2 Grupo began working in Europe hand in hand with European projects under the 7th Framework Program and then in the H2020. As a result of this expansion, it has large-scale projects with leading multilateral and European organizations and, in addition, S2 Grupo is a founding member of the European Cyber ​​Security Organization (ECSO) and, therefore, one of the leading companies in the strategy of R+D+i of European cybersecurity. Increase in international sales and portability of SEPI Desarrollo "The good results of 2018 are also linked to our international development, which has been very important and has grown to a total of 20% of our turnover, 5% more. This financing has been key to the development of its strategic plan for the coming years and has given the necessary impetus to grow at a European and international level. The Spanish Government, through this action of SEPIDES, has shown its commitment to national development in cybersecurity and overcoming the strong technological dependence on other countries. Another of the objectives of the strategic plan of S2 Grupo 2018-2022 is to increase its workforce by 40% by incorporating a large number of professionals with a high level of knowledge and experience in the technology sector. In addition, it has invested heavily both in the development of new products and in the improvement of those it already has. A strong investment in the development of national cybersecurity technology is also planned. S2 Grupo has offices in Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Bogotá, Mexico City, Brussels and Lisbon.
