S2 Grupo is re-elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Cybersecurity Organization
- In particular, Miguel A. Juan, managing-partner of S2 Grupo, has been ratified in this position. The Valencian company is also part of the ECSO Partnership Board, which is the body in charge of collaborating with the European Commission to define the cybersecurity R&D strategy for the coming years.

- The EU stressed that cybersecurity is one of the most relevant sectors at a strategic level, since in Europe it represents around 160,000 million euros per year and has an annual growth of 17%.

Valencia, June 21, 2018.- The Valencian company S2 Grupo has been re-elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Cybersecurity Organization (ECSO). Specifically, it was Miguel Ángel Juan, managing-partner of S2 Grupo, who was appointed to the Board of Directors of ECSO. Miguel A. Juan is also a member of the ECSO Partnership Board, which is the body in charge of coordinating the establishment of the strategic R&D axes of Cybersecurity in the European Union and in such relevant programs as Horizon 2020 and the recently created Horizon Europe (2020-2027). In addition, S2 Grupo represents the SMEs in the sector in ECSO. Miguel A. Juan’s re-election took place in Brussels yesterday, June 20, when the electoral process was carried out as part of the General Assembly of ECSO. In the public session immediately following, the most relevant results of the Working Groups were presented, in topics such as R&D, investment in cybersecurity companies, internationalization and the European certification framework. The event was attended by the representative of the upcoming presidency of the European Union, Martin Fazokas, and the General Director of CNECT (Communications Networks, Content and Technology), Despina Spanou, who highlighted the great strategic importance of the cybersecurity sector for the European Commission. This sector represents around 160,000 million euros in Europe, with an annual growth of 17%. S2 Group is firmly involved in the European R&D since 2010 and has been part of numerous international research consortiums in which companies and research centers from all over Europe participate. In addition, it has acted as a coordinating company on several occasions. S2 Group, founding member of the European Cybersecurity Organization (ECSO) S2 Grupo is a founding member of the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO), which was created to support initiatives and projects that develop, promote and foster cybersecurity in Europe.
