- On Saturday, March 18, almost 200 people will participate in the first Offering 4.0.
Valencia, March 15, 2018.- The Fallera Mayor Infantil of Valencia, Daniela Gómez, and her Court of Honor will open the first cybersecure falla on Saturday, March 17 at 11.30 am.
This is the Children’s Falla of the Chiva-Francisco de Llano Commission which has developed an innovative project with the Valencian cybersecurity company S2 Group to combat cybercrime.
The monument of this children’s Falla has been created under this theme and interactively will allow, through QR codes, videos with key cybersecurity tips to be downloaded so as to increase the protection of both children and adults when using Internet-connected technologies.
In these videos, the youth of the Falla Chiva-Francisco de Llano are the very ones who explain the 9 main cybersecurity problems that are currently happening and solutions to combat them: grooming (misleading by pedophiles), viruses and malware, digital wildlife, passwords (which strong ones must be used to prevent cybercriminals from accessing our accounts), the use of public Wi-Fi’s, phishing (identity theft), cyberbullying, risks in social networks and techno-addiction.
Due to the importance of raising awareness from an early age on the importance of incorporating habits of use of new technologies (smartphones, social networks, etc.) that are safe and responsible, the Fallera Mayor Infantil and her Court of Honor will come to also learn them first-hand.
The visit of the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the delegate of the Government, Juan Carlos Moragues, and the deputy Jose Maria Chiquillo, among others, is also scheduled throughout the day.
First Offering 4.0: almost 200 messages arrive from around the world to be delivered in one of the most commemorative events of the Fallas
S2 Grupo, with the aim of combining tradition and innovation, has launched another pioneering initiative which is the first Offering 4.0. This will allow, for the first time, people who cannot physically be at the Fallas, to make their own offering.
Through a web page created for this project, almost 200 Fallas enthusiasts, who cannot be at this event, which is one of the most commemorative of this festival, have left messages that have been compiled in a book.
Some examples are the following messages:
(From Valencia): Mare de Deu, if this disease does not let me see you this year, give me the strength to overcome it and see you next year. Always protect us. I will always have faith in you.
(From Poland): It is hard to be far from Valencia at this time and all the more for a fallera! In Poland I will set up my little falla on the inauguration day and I will burn it on the 19th! But no matter how far it is, the Falla Manises always accompanies me! Long live Valencia and Long live les Falles!
(From Dubai): It is not easy to be far from the land we love, at this time it gets worse… Thanks to the Falla Chiva-Francisco de Llano for drawing us near to the thrill of being with my family, my memories and my fallera essence. Thank you!
(From Seville): Offering from the Valencia Regional House in Seville:
Mare de Deu,
from Seville to Valencia
our thoughts travel
filled with love and longing,
dreaming that one day
we will return to your side
and prostrate before you,
we will ask for your help and protection,
because we can only,
offer you our lives,
and our souls,
full of devotion.
On March 18th, the Chiva-Francisco de Llano Falla Commission will take the book and deliver it to the dressers of the Virgin and the Central Fallera Board, together with the traditional flowers, when they participate in the offering.
