Valencia, April 18, 2018.- S2 Grupo, a Valencian company specializing in cybersecurity and critical systems management, has launched the 4th edition of Enigma. It is its own school of cybersecurity and "intelligence" that seeks to offer specialized training, the recruitment of talent in universities and the incorporation into their staff once trained. "In 2017, we experienced, more than ever before, how cybersecurity problems could jeopardize the functioning, reputation and trajectory of companies. We are at a time when the hyper-connection between all types of systems to the network has multiplied exponentially and this makes it essential to have professionals specifically trained in prevention and protection against cyber-attacks to adequately safeguard all types of entities, organizations and companies, whether they are public or private", said José Rosell, managing-partner of S2 Grupo. "In this context, hyper-specialization in cybersecurity has become the profession of the future and is key to protecting against cyber-attacks in the 21st century. These profiles are increasingly in demand and, until now, Universities here still do not offer full training in this regard. Therefore, we decided to launch Enigma with the aim of offering a great option to recent graduates of the fields related to this subject so that they become the guardians of the cybersecurity of the future", explained Miguel A. Juan, managing-partner of S2 Group. One of the aims of Enigma, which has established itself as one of the leading training programs in cybersecurity in Spain, is precisely the promotion of the incorporation into the labor market of recent graduates in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology and Telecommunications. This program lasts 6 months and in 2018 it will have 13 students. From the moment they join, the candidates receive a grant with an economic endowment, they add the Know-How of S2 Grupo into their learning and receive personalized advice according to their interests, virtues and aspects of improvement. New Enigma promotion: training and research The 13 students that will be part of the new Enigma class have been selected from recent graduates or who are in their final years of studies as Computer, Telecommunications and Industrial Engineering. They will receive face-to-face classes given by the S2 Grupo team of experts and will have a training room and laboratory with all the necessary material for them to study, do the tasks assigned to them by the teachers and encourage their creativity with group activities proposed to them. In addition, they have the help of the teachers and a tutor who carries out a specific follow-up on each one. As for the agenda, a wide range of subjects has been covered with the aim of covering all the aspects of cybersecurity and intelligence that need to be mastered so that they have the necessary training to become junior engineers in S2 Grupo. The company has stressed that university degrees do not go deep enough in these areas and that this generates that new graduates approach their first job with a great knowledge gap in the field of cybersecurity and filling that gap is the main objective of S2 Grupo, also as a result of its commitment to guarantee and advance a cyber-secure world. Along with their training, the students will have to carry out a research project that they will present at the end of their training and which usually becomes their Final Degree Thesis. To this end, they will have several tutors who will be assigned to them to follow up on that research project and help them in its evolution. Since the launch of Enigma in 2014, more than 45 students have participated in it. 1st Prize for the Promotion of Youth Employment, by the Mahou San Miguel Foundation, Mahou San Miguel and the Excellence in Sustainability Club The S2 Grupo Enigma training program of was recognized in 2017 as the 1st Prize for the Promotion of Youth Employment by the Mahou San Miguel Foundation and the Excellence in Sustainability Club. The company, which has become one of the leading companies in the cybersecurity sector in Spain and Europe, received this award, among other reasons, for its ongoing commitment to creating jobs and maintaining a stable employment. S2 Grupo in the last year increased its workforce by 7%, and of these recruitments more than 15 were from young people under 30 years of age. Currently, it has more than 260 employees in its offices in Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Bogotá and Mexico. S2 Grupo considers the generation of a new employment framework with initiatives such as these to be fundamental, since it benefits both recent graduates because they have an opportunity to enter the labor market and, furthermore, it is also very positive for the company because the stable hiring of young people provides a competitive advantage as their incorporation brings new ideas and different perspectives that allow the improvement of innovation and creativity of the team.
