Alejandro Santaeulalia and Cristina Camarasa will make the Cybersecure Falla in 2024
We present the Falla cibersegura 2024, part of a project developed with the Chiva-Francisco de Llano Commission to raise awareness about cybersecurity. It aims to promote the safe use of new technologies and social networks in the most vulnerable families and groups.
This is the fifth year that the Children's Monument of this Falla will raise awareness about cybersecurity in a fun and special way. This year, the renowned artist Alejandro Santaeulalia and Cristina Camarasa, who is making her debut with this project, have been responsible for the design and creation of the monument, under the slogan "Cibermalotes".
José Rosell, co-founder, explains that as part of one of our essential axes, which is awareness, this union between the Fallas and cybersecurity is very important, because we are combining a huge informative catalyst such as these festivities, which are World Heritage, with a need of the population, which is to adapt in a cybersecure way to the digital transformation, and in addition we are achieving it in a very didactic way for the youngest.
And Miguel Juan, our other partner and founder, commented that the collaboration with the Falla Chiva-Francisco de Llano allows us to reach children and families in a very pleasant and at the same time very direct way, because in a simple and visual way they are aware of the cyber dangers. In this way, they can and learn to protect themselves. This year, for example, they will be able to see that just as they know that the door of the house is locked to keep it safe, passwords are the keys to our connected environments, and if they are not sufficient, it is as if we were locking our house with a string of wool.
Fun and cybersecurity awareness
The children's Falla of the Falla Chiva-Francisco de Llano will be interactive and through QR codes will allow access to explanatory videos on some of the main problems of cybercrime that children may encounter, such as password theft, techno-addiction, phishing, grooming, fake news, social networks, cyberbullying, and will also raise reflection on whether technology listens to us.
In addition, the monument created by Alejandro Santaulalia and Cristina Camarasa will have a very special ninot, the monster "Zampa Claves", which through a funny image will help them create strong passwords that prevent cybercriminals from accessing their data.
Cristina Camarasa and I approached this project with great enthusiasm. Above all, we emphasize the originality of the project, because it is interactive and educational, very focused on making children really learn. The most important thing is to make children aware of the fact that they often enter the world of the Internet without being aware of the dangers, and often even adults are not aware of them," said Alejandro Santaeulalia.
"It was a challenge to create a Falla with this theme, because it is complicated to make this topic something friendly when we talk about cyber dangers. This led us to give it the approach of monsters, which are friendlier and allow us to get the message across correctly," the artist continued.
"We also want to point out that the aesthetic that Cristina Camarasa gave us is very different. We tried to do something different from what we have seen so far, that is, we have dolls with clothes, with hair, many textures in the monsters, we wanted to do something very colorful, very original, which we hope will help get the message to children and adults, because there are many cyber risks that we still do not know, "stressed Alejandro Santaeulalia.
For his part, the present of the Falla Chiva-Francisco de Llano, Jorge Carbó, explained that his commission is proud to dedicate the Children's Monument to such a sensitive issue as the risks of cybersecurity of the youngest.
"Alejandro Santaeulalia and Cristina Camarasa have conveyed the message in a magnificent way. In fact, the ninot that we took to the exhibition is focused on cyberbullying and has had a lot of diffusion in social networks, which helps us to raise awareness. This alone is a great success," said Jorge Carbó.
From S2 Grupo, we want to emphasize that cybersecurity awareness is essential in society and to advance in the digital transformation in which we are immersed.
