Valencia, January 24, 2018.- Obtaining the certification of the National Security Scheme (ENS) is one of the bastions to ensure cybersecurity of public administrations and technology companies that provide services. This is one of the main conclusions drawn from the intervention of S2 Grupo in the "Technology for Business Conference" organized by AENOR at the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia. In this meeting, Fernando Seco, director of Government, Risk and Compliance of S2 Grupo, analyzed the keys of the implementation of this regulation in the company and the benefits it brings to its customers. S2 Grupo has been one of the first companies in Spain and the first in the Valencian Community to obtain certification in accordance with the ENS for all of its information systems and services. "In an environment like the current one, in which an enormous amount of information is managed that needs to be protected due to its confidential and critical nature, it is essential that companies work according to the highest security standards. This was precisely the goal of our company, to ensure the work according to the standards established in accordance with the ENS as a way to the greatest guarantee in cybersecurity", said Fernando Seco. S2 Group received this certificate in 2017 with "high category" according to the requirements established in the Royal Decree 3/2010 by which the ENS is regulated in the field of eGovernment. The certification was obtained through AENOR, the first company accredited by ENAC as Certification Body of Conformity with the ENS. The initial objective of this regulation was to create the necessary conditions of confidence in the use of electronic means, through measures to guarantee the security of information and electronic services, which would allow citizens and Public Administrations to exercise rights and the fulfillment of duties through these means. Subsequently, its scope has been extended to all IT services of the Public Administrations. "At S2 Grupo we are firmly committed to advancing a cybersecure world and being pioneers in obtaining the quality certification of cybersecurity services we provide to Spanish Public Administrations. It has seemed to us the essential way to guarantee the work we develop in this field", said Fernando Seco. On this day, addressed to IT security officers, heads of information systems, quality managers of ICT companies and personnel with competences in electronic administration, the needs which different types of organizations will have to answer to were exposed, especially suppliers and contractors with the Public Administration. Along with Fernando Seco, Director of Government, Risk and Compliance of S2 Grupo, Juan Luis Pozo, Director of the Sustainability Area of Global Omnium, Cárlos de Cózar Escalante, coordinator of the ICT department of the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia; Salvador Ibáñez Moscardó, Director of AENOR in the Valencian Community; Carmen Serrano Durbá, Head of Security Service of the IT General Directorate of the Generalitat Valenciana; and Boris Delgado, ICT manager of AENOR.
